People were finally able to get their hands the Leap Motion - the wavy-handy, Minority Report-esque input device - more than a year since it was publically announced.
Bret Victor’s semi-legendary rant on the future of interaction design is as relevant here as it was for the original subject of his post, and well worth a read. The future of interaction, he convincingly argues, is not in interactions with shiny glass, or thin air. It's in making the most of our innate ability to discern textures, weight, heat and a thousand other things with our hands.
Our order for the Leap Motion is in though, and we’re looking forward to having a play.
