A unique collaboration between Ostmodern, television executives Mark Bradford and Hugh Williams of content consultancy Content&Co, and media lawyers Wiggin, the service has been conceived as a ‘best of breed’ product to help international pay TV platforms fend off the threat from OTT services.
With additional distribution deals in the pipeline, Cirkus will soon be available to over two million subscribers in Sweden, and expects to add Denmark and other Nordic countries during 2014.
Ostmodern’s expertise in designing leading on-demand platforms ensures a unique service presented to viewers in a way they increasingly like to consume content. From brand identity and user experience to content strategy and operational workflows, the product has been designed to emphasise Cirkus’ unique proposition and dovetail with distributor platforms and their channel strategies to serve content across TV, tablet, mobile and desktop.
Managing Director Jody Allen commented “Cirkus marks an exciting investment for Ostmodern; we're now co-owners of a live content channel that's set to grow quite considerably in the future. We’re very proud of what Cirkus represents for us and what we have achieved together with our partners”.
