A talking point that never gets old in the office is what Netflix will do once their ‘Originals’ content becomes a major part of their service. Can they really afford to still throw up packshots and hope for a click when they’ve spent so much on this content?
It seems that Netflix, following from their House Of Cards custom splash page on desktop, have decided that Originals need a bit of love elsewhere. This month they will launch the horror-festival of Hemlock Grove, and with it, a special multi-platform brand page.
This approach to using EPK (Electronic Press Kit) content to enhance content is welcome and a necessary evolution if they intend to create lasting and trusted franchises.
